Yeah, I hope they bring Adrian back... that would be really neat. I don't care if you don't get to play as him, just the mere knowing that "HEY HE'S ALIVE" would be neat.
What would make it better is if he fought along side you.

That's probably not gonna happen, sadly. I do have hope for him in Half Life 3, but not for episodes. And even then, it might take awhile to find out just how to please people with his appearance. Of course Shephard fans would be glad to see him, but I know people who hate his guts so much. Just hate him. So even then, it's a risk to take. But maybe he'll be that "deaf" character. Who says he's really deaf? If I spoke to Gordon for the first time and he didn't answer me, I'd assume he's either not paying attention or is deaf. As long as Alyx thinks he's deaf, but nobody ever explains if he really is(or they later just tell her he can hear fine) then it could quite possibly be Adrain. Valve did say they'd "Get back to him eventually"

I think even after episode three, we'll be left in the dark about G-Man-Hense Half Life 3.
